I thought about trying to do a little with the organization of my fabric while putting away some of my recent purchases. I am always amazed at how tidy some people keep their fabric. I keep my fabric crammed in three drawers in a dresser.
it's not so bad looking, right? but then there is this disaster lurking elsewhere in the closet...

I think it looks quite tidy! And even the "disaster" you refer to in your closet looks better than the crammed, lopsided, tottering disaster in the wardrobe in my sewing room.
The tomatoes are fun. I love those pear tomatoes. And red fabric!! Vintage red fabric, love it. The drawers is a good idea.
I'm inspired by your drawers! I currently do the shelf thing like the first pic you liked to. I find that trying to get a fabric from the middle or bottom is hard and the whole thing tries to topple!
