kitchen success

this is the best thing I have cooked in some time - za jiang mian. (similar to dan dan noodles).

Za Jiang Mian

my coworker who knows how much I like this dish on the secret menu at the local Chinese restaurant picked me up a jar of the sauce that underlies it.

super easy to make:
cooked up ground pork with garlic and ginger.
added spicy noodle sauce and cooked down.
layered udon noodles, sauce (sparingly), and topped with scallions and cucumbers.

yum!
