totally awesome Christmas present

I got a wonderful present from my aunt at Christmas.

a while back, I posted on Blempgorf about these rad carpet tiles from CB2.

rad FLOR tiles from CB2

after seeing them on the blog, my aunt offered to make me an afghan based on the design.

and here it is!

it is so wonderful and I just love it. the colors are great with my couch + my loveseat.

I am so impressed by all the work that went into it, since I would have no idea how to make something like it. I don't have any yarn skills whatsoever. the layout of squares is great too.

here's a closeup of it:

I test drove it today in an afternoon nap and one nice bonus is that provides the perfect level of warmth for napping, superior to my previous napping quilt.

thanks again to my aunt! I love this so much!

What a cool, modern aunt! I know all the crocheters in my life wouldn't ever try something like that. It is gorgeous!!
